9-1-1 Legislative Information

The 9-1-1 Program was established by the 1981 Oregon Legislature in the Oregon Revised Statute (ORS) 403. ORS 403 are the codified laws governing the 9-1-1 Program.

Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) are adopted by agencies in support of the ORS. OARs are a directive, standard, regulation or statement of general applicability that implements, interprets, or prescribes law or policy, or describes the procedure or practice requirements of any agency.  The 9-1-1 Program has adopted OARs 104, Division 80.
