The upcoming in-person trainings listed are being hosted by public bodies that have the space to welcome other public officials to attend. Please register at least one week prior to the training to ensure that there will be enough space for everyone interested.

Town of Lakeview | September 18th & 19th

The Town of Lakeview is hosting two different Oregon Government Ethics Commission (OGEC) trainings in September. These sessions are open to any public officials who would like to attend. 


Executive Session Overview
September 18th | 3:00pm -4:30pm 
This session is designed for individuals of governing bodies subject to Oregon Public Meetings Law. The course content will cover the individual responsibilities of public officials, the process to convene an executive session, and the lawful reason for holding an executive session as contained in ORS 192.610, ORS 192.660, ORS 192.685 / OAR Chapter 199.

Oregon Government Ethic Law Overview
September 19th | 9:00am - 11:30am
This live, interactive 2.5 hour training will cover  Use of Position, Conflicts of Interest, Nepotism, and Gifts as contained in ORS Chapter 244 / OAR Chapter 199. There will be scenarios based on real examples as well as time for questions and discussion.
