Materials for Newly Eligible Employees

2018-19 Plan Year

The links below provide information for employees becoming eligible for OEBB benefits during the 2018-19 Plan Year (October 2018 - September 2019). These documents contain information on all plans offered by OEBB. Some members may not have access to all plans shown in these summaries.

You can include these links in electronic communications to your new hires (e.g., via email, or add it to new hire information on your website), or you can print as appropriate and distribute hard copies to your employees: 


  • 2018-19 New Hire Resource Guide  Formatted to print on 8.5" x 11" paper and tri-fold - Highlights rules an opportunities specific to those within their first 31 days of benefits eligibility. Meant to be paired with the documents below. 


  • 2018-19 Benefits Open Enrollment Guide - A comprehensive guide to all OEBB benefits offered for the 2018-19 plan year (October 1, 2018 - September 30, 2019). Returning employees use this booklet to make their plan decisions during the Open Enrollment period (Aug. 15 - Sept. 15) before the plan year begins, but the information can be used throughout the year.

Don't Forget!

Employers must ensure that each new employee (including those not eligible for benefits) receives proper ACA notification within their first 14 days of employment either by mailing the notice first-class USPS mail or hand-delivering it directly to the employee.
