A Laboratory license is for the lab premises that tests for species identification, product potency, and solvent testing. Laboratories test for presence of psilocybe cubensis and for potency of psilocybin analyte, measured in milligrams. Solvent testing may also be required for certain products. Oregon Psilocybin Services may request additional testing at any time for microbials, heavy metals, or pesticides.
Licensing Requirements
Laboratory license applicants must first be accredited by the
Oregon Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ORELAP). This process begins by registering for a username in the
ORELAP Data Input and Edit (ODIE) system. Once registered, the user can create an initial application for accreditation. The laboratory's application will be reviewed and invoiced. Once the invoice has been paid, ORELAP will arrange for an onsite assessment. Once accredited by ORELAP, laboratories can move forward with applying for a psilocybin laboratory license.
