These trainings are for school staff and child care providers. The trainings cover immunization requirements and how to do the annual immunization reports.

Oregon Immunization Program Training Portal

Trainings for Schools and Child Cares can all be accessed on the Oregon Immunization Program Training Portal, including the trainings to gain ALERT IIS access. The benefit of using the portal is that you will receive certificates of completion and be able to keep track of the courses you have taken. The school and child care immunization trainings are available in English and Spanish within the portal.

To start you will be asked to create an account. After logging in, you will be able to access all materials related to Schools and Child Cares by clicking on the “School & Child Care” icon represented by a lunch bag and apple.

Live Trainings for Schools and Child Cares 2025

Register for a live training that will cover Immunization Requirements, using ALERT IIS, and how to complete the annual immunization reports. Register using the events calendar in the Training Portal. By registering through the portal, you will be able to receive a certificate of completion. To participate without registering, click the link on the date and time specified.

To get ALERT IIS Access

Create an account for the OIP Training Portal, if you don't have one.
Take one of the following trainings to completion (100%):

Read the Confidentiality Policy (every ALERT IIS user must read this document. (Español)
Read and sign the Authorized User Agreement (Individual School/Child Care Facility User) form. (Español)
For sites new to ALERT IIS or with new administrators, complete the Authorized Site Agreement (Colleges, Schools, Preschools, Head Starts and Child Care Facilities) form. (Español)
Submit the following to the ALERT IIS Help Desk at alertiis@odhsoha.oregon.gov.

Required: Training completion certificate
Required: Authorized User Agreement (Individual School/Child Care Facility User)
If Needed: Authorized Site Agreement (Colleges, Schools, Preschools, Head Starts and Child Care Facilities)
