Public Notice: Community Services Block Grant

The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program is a federal anti-poverty program administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The program provides assistance to local communities via community action agencies and other neighborhood organizations. These agencies use CSBG funds to:

  • Reduce poverty 
  • Revitalization low-income communities 
  • Empower low-income families and individuals to become fully self-sufficient.

Public Hearing: Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) State Plan

There will be an in-person and virtual public hearing on the Oregon Federal Fiscal Year (FY) 2027-28 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) State Plan application amendment.

The meeting is accessible to persons with disabilities and to non-English speakers. A request for an interpreter or accommodations should be made at least 48 hours before the meeting by calling 503-986-2000 or emailing HCS_AdminServices@oregon.gov.

The purpose of this hearing is to obtain public comment on the proposed 2027-28 CSBG State Plan application for Oregon. People interested in commenting on the draft are invited to attend the public hearing. If no one has shown up to make public comment by noon, we will close the public hearing. Oregon Housing and Community Services will accept written comments until 5 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2026.
