ATV Highway Access Advisory Committee

In 2017 the Oregon Legislature passed Senate Bill 344, which directed the Oregon State Parks Department (OPRD) to develop an Advisory Committee to review potential ATV use on State Highways (not county or city roads).

The intent is to look at connections from towns which already allow ATV use on local street to OHV riding areas. Often this will occur in rural and remote areas with low traffic levels and reduced speed limits. Often only short sections on State Highways need to be designated to make these connections.

The ATV Highway Access Route Advisory Committee’s purpose is to review proposed sections of highways and make recommendations to Oregon Transportation Commission.
