If you were involved in a report or investigation handled by the Oregon Youth Authority's Professional Standards Office (PSO), we want you to know that your safety and well-being matter.
Being impacted by harm can be a frightening and confusing experience. Reporting an incident or being named in a report can also be a difficult thing to process.
When a youth reports certain types of crimes, OYA offers support through our Victim Engagement Program who can connect you with community-based advocacy services. These supports are available to youth both in OYA care and those who have since returned to the community. You can connect with an advocate to talk about what you're experiencing, learn about your options, or get help accessing local resources. Connecting with support is your choice, and advocates are there to help you feel heard, informed, and supported.
You can explore available programs, resources, and community services below. You can also contact our Victim Engagement Program directly at 503-373-7205 or OYAVictimEngagementProgram@oya.oregon.gov.
If you are a victim of a violent crime, you may also qualify for help through Oregon Crime Victims' Compensation (CVC) Program. The CVC program can assist with expenses associated with certain crimes. To find out if you qualify for CVC assistance, visit the CVC website for more information.
