Each youth at Oak Creek has an account that family can add money to. Only people who are on the youth’s approved visitors or phone lists may put money on their account.
Youth can use the money to buy food from our canteen, hygiene products, religious items, or stamps.
You may not give money directly to your youth. You can add money to your youth’s account in three ways. We accept checks, money orders, or cash:
- In person at the Oak Creek front desk during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- At visitation. Drop the money in the deposit box outside the visiting area, using the envelopes we provide.
- By mail. Checks or money orders are preferred for mail.
Please make checks out to Oregon Youth Authority, with your youth’s name on the memo line. We cannot accept checks made out to the youth.
