ATTENTION ALL MODIFIED LICENSE HOLDERS OR APPLICANTS SEEKING TO HOLD A MODIFIED LICENSE

The 2019 legislature passed a new law (SB 935).  A person holding a general contractors license with the Construction Contractors Board who is also seeking a modified phase of license with the LCB is prohibited from holding that modified phase landscape license.  Based on this new law the LCB is proposing a new rule clarifying that those that already hold both of these licenses may keep the modified phase of landscape license until its renewal date in 2020.

This only affects those modified phase of landscape licenses that also hold or will seek to hold a general contractors license with the Construction Contractors Board.  This new law is effective September 30, 2019.

This law has already passed the legislature and now the Board is writing rules to further clarify the new law.  The comment period  for these rules ends October 21, 2019 at 5:00 PM.

If interested, here's the Notice of Rulemaking.
