Historical Mining Claim Records
Background
As part of an ongoing project to preserve and make accessible Oregon's historical mineral
and mining information, DOGAMI is digitizing mining claim records. A pilot project
funded by a Library Services and Technology Act grant allowed DOGAMI digitize mining
claim records held by the Baker County Recorder?s Office.

County Mining Claim Inventories
Mining claim records for additional Oregon counties will be digitized as resources become
available. Inventories of the mining claim records held by each county are available
from the Oregon Secretary of State ? see county records links below. On the Oregon
Historical County Records Guide page, click on a county
name, then look for the "Mining Claim Records" section in that county.
