Muddy Creek Energy Park

The Muddy Creek Energy Park is a proposed solar photovoltaic energy generation facility with a generating capacity of approximately 150 megawatts (MW). The facility would be located within a site boundary of approximately 1,590 acres of private land zoned for Exclusive Farm Use (EFU) in Linn County, Oregon. In addition to the proposed solar photovoltaic arrays, the facility would include an up to 150 MW battery energy storage system; a collector substation; power collection system; approximately 0.65 mile overhead 230 kV transmission line; point of interconnection (POI); perimeter fencing, access roads, and staging areas.

Under Review/Proposed. On May 19, 2026, the Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE or Department) received a preliminary Application for a Site Certificate (pASC) and is reviewing the pASC in coordination with state, local and tribal governments. The pASC Exhibits are available electronically in the Project Timeline below. Once the application is deemed complete, a public notice that includes the date and time of a public informational meeting will be issued. The remaining review steps, including opportunities for public participation in the state review process can be found here.
