Program Details and Curriculum

Program Details
A cohort of 20-25 individuals will participate in 8-10 educational sessions with local, state and national subject matter experts in health equity, diversity and inclusion.

Participants will:

  • receive training, coaching, and tools for practical application of skills.
  • identify a project to implement within their organizations and present at the conclusion of the course.
  • receive support to develop and incorporate health equity policies and practices within organizational structures.

Sessions are tentatively scheduled for following dates and will last the entire day. Sessions will be in-person unless otherwise indicated. Dates are subject to presenter availability:

  • Thursday & Friday, January 18 & 19
  • Friday, February 9
  • Friday, March 1
  • Friday, March 22
  • Friday, April 12
  • Friday, May 3
  • Friday, May 24
  • Friday, June 14
  • Friday, July 11
  • September 20 (final presentations & graduation) 

We will try to hold in-person sessions in different locations around Oregon based on cohort members' location.

During the DELTA program, you will cover topics including:

  • Social Determinants of Health and Inequities
  • Structural Racism: Power and Privilege
  • Historical Trauma, Healing and Resilience
  • Embedding Equity Monitor in Healthcare
  • Community Engagement: Center the Community
  • Systematically Embedding the CLAS Standards
  • Health Literacy and Language Access: Integrating Language Access in Healthcare Services
  • Integrating Equity Framework in Communication
  • Workforce Development, Diversity, and Inclusion
