Health Information Technology Oversight Council (HITOC)
HITOC was created to ensure health system transformation efforts are supported by Health IT. HITOC is tasked with setting goals and developing a strategic health information technology plan for the state, as well as monitoring progress in achieving those goals and providing oversight for the implementation of the plan. HITOC is also responsible for assessing Oregon's Health IT landscape. The Council, in collaboration with the Oregon Health Authority,

Strategic Plan for Health IT
HITOC is in the process of developing Oregon's Health IT Strategic Plan for 2024-2028. The Strategic Plan provides high-level priorities for health IT over the next five years. It outlines the overall vision and the focus areas for partners across the health IT landscape in Oregon.
The Strategic Plan is for everyone using or impacted by health IT in Oregon. The strategies from the statewide Strategic Plan touch individuals (consumers/patients), providers and clinic staff, community-based organizations (CBOs), hospitals, health systems, coordinated care organizations (CCOs) and health insurance companies, technology partners, state agencies, and more.
HITOC and OHA need your input to shape Oregon's health IT strategies and priorities. Please see the
Strategic Plan webpage to sign up for listening sessions, view more information, and other ways to provide input!
