While one in fourteen Oregonians is a Veteran, sadly, one in ten Oregonians experiencing homelessness has served in the military. To help move Oregon towards ending Veteran homelessness, collaboration is the key. In partnership with ODVA, OHCS has continued to host Veteran Homelessness Provider Convenings to spur collaboration and peer-to-peer learning. The purpose of the Convenings are to bring everyone from front line staff to executive leadership, elected officials, state and federal partners, and those interested assisting and ending veterans' homelessness in Oregon together to share, learn, and collaborate on best practices.
