BOLI is charged with enforcing this new law, which applies the prevailing rate of wage to certain off-site, bespoke work that is fabricated, preconstructed, assembled or constructed in accordance with specifications for a particular public works. Here is a link to the bill for more information:
The law will go into effect on July 1, 2026 and BOLI will promulgate administrative rules prior to that date. Currently, the bureau has two Rules Advisory Committee meetings set to promulagate the rules for this legislation and members of the public are welcomed to observe the meetings.
