Volunteer Sign‑Up and Local Support through ORVID Oregon Volunteers in Disaster (ORVID) is now accepting sign-ups from individuals who want to support wildfire response across the state. Volunteers who register may be matched with local emergency managers, government agencies, or volunteer organizations when active operations require additional support. Not all areas will have opportunities, but organizations needing your help will contact volunteers directly—by email or phone—if they align with an active need.
Local emergency managers can put in an OERS request to get a list of registered volunteers in their area to help coordinate staffing during wildfire incidents. We also encourage our partners to remind well‑meaning community members not to self-deploy to disaster areas. Instead, direct them to the ORVID sign‑up page so they can be safely and appropriately engaged when requests for help arise.
