In some parts of Oregon, changes are coming to OHP in 2020

Don't worry, your health care benefits are staying the same. The changes have to do with your CCO (coordinated care organization). A CCO is like a health plan. Depending on where you live, you may have new health plan choices.

Important: Changes to plan choices in 2020
Trillium is no longer a plan choice in 2020 for Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties.

If there are changes to your CCO plan, you will hear from us!

Check your mail

In mid-December, OHP will send a follow-up letter to members. The letter will have important information about appointments, prescriptions, and care for members moving to new plans. The letter will also share how to change your plan from January through March 31.

Trillium Community Health Plan is no longer a plan choice in January for members in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties.

If you picked or were matched with Trillium, you will get a letter letting you know you will not move to Trillium. You will stay with Health Share of Oregon or Yamhill CCO.

If you picked or were matched with Health Share or Yamhill CCO, you will get a letter that Trillium is no longer a plan choice in January.

In Polk and Douglas counties, if you got a Pick Your Plan letter in October, you will get a reminder letter that you can change plans for any reason between January 1 and March 31, 2020.

In Jackson County, there are now fewer doctors and providers who work with AllCare CCO.

If your primary care provider is from PrimeCare, you will get a letter that you are matched with Jackson Care Connect.

If you were not affected by this change, you will stay with the plan you picked or were matched with this fall.

Between January 1 to March 31, you can try out your plan and change plans for any reason.

In Lane County, there are now fewer doctors and providers who work with Trillium Community Health Plan.

If your primary care provider is from PeaceHealth or Oregon Medical Group, you will get a letter that you are matched with PacificSource Community Solutions – Lane.

If you picked or were matched with PacificSource – Lane, you will stay with your plan.

If you picked or were matched with Trillium and do not see a PeaceHealth or Oregon Medical Group provider, you will stay with Trillium.

Between January 1 to March 31, you can try out your plan and change plans for any reason.

Areas with CCO plan choices

  • Lane County
  • Certain ZIP codes in Douglas, Jackson and Polk counties
  • Important: There is no longer choice in Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties. Trillium Community Health Plan will not serve OHP in those counties at this time.

New plans start January 1

If you are changing CCO plans

  • You should keep your appointments and fill your prescriptions. Your CCO plans will work together to move your care.
  • If you need to find new providers, you will have time to move your care.
    • For physical health care, your new plan will work with the provider(s) you have until March 31, 2020 to move your care.
    • For behavioral health care, which includes mental health and substance use disorder treatment, your new plan will work with the provider(s) you have now until June 30, 2020 to move your care.
  • You can use emergency care at any time.
    • You do not need to check with your CCO plan before you get care in an emergency. Go to an emergency room or call 911. Please do not wait because you don’t have your ID card or you don’t know your CCO plan name.

Try out your new plan

You can change your plan for any reason between January 1 and March 31, 2020.
