Liquor Licensing

Description of all License Types, Fees, and Requirements: License Types (PDF)

New License Application Processing

Obtaining a liquor license is necessary for all establishments selling any alcoholic beverages. Liquor licensing in Oregon is a joint effort of the applicant, local authority (city or county), and the OLCC. The application process for a liquor license is thorough and comprehensive, and will require several kinds of documentation to ensure you meet state requirements.

  • Prior to submitting your liquor license application to OLCC, send the completed application to the local government for the premises street address to obtain a recommendation. Once you receive the liquor license application back from the local government with their recommendation email it to olcc.liquorlicenseapplication@oregon.gov.
  • Make sure your liquor license application includes the local government’s recommendation and it is complete and legible at the time of submission to avoid additional delay.
We are working diligently to process applications as quickly as possible. If you have any questions about the status of your application, please contact your investigator or email: olcc.alcohollicensing@oregon.gov.
