Family Orientation

We offer monthly orientations for parents and guardians of new Oak Creek youth. Our managers lead the orientations and discuss these topics:
  • Treatment
  • Education
  • Our approach to working with youth
  • Youth safety
To learn the orientation schedule, call 541-791-5900 or check the family bulletin board when you visit.

Family Events

Positive family connections help youth do better in their education and treatment. Oak Creek supports positive family involvement.

We host events to allow youth and their families to spend time together. These include a Mother’s Day brunch, a Father’s Day barbecue, graduation, cultural events, a school open house, and many others.

To see a list of upcoming events, check out the family bulletin board in our visiting area.

Do You Want to Get Involved?

Join the OYA Family Advisory Council. The council advises OYA on:
  • how to improve opportunities for families to meaningfully engage with their youth;
  • how to support families in understanding and navigating the system; and
  • how to incorporate family voice into OYA policies and practices.
