Operating/Under Review. A 50 MW phase of the facility commenced commercial operation on March 22, 2022.
On February 27, 2026, the Department received Request for Amendment 1 (RFA1) of the site certificate. In RFA1, the certificate holder seeks Energy Facility Siting Council approval to extend the construction completion deadline for the unbuilt portion of the facility, and to split the approved facility into two facilities, each with their own site certificate.
On April 30, 2026, the Department issued its draft Final Order on RFA1. The draft Final Order recommends that EFSC approve RFA1, subject to existing and recommended new and amended conditions. On the same date, the Department issued a Notice of the Draft Final Order to all individuals who provided comments during the 35-day public comment period ending on April 3, 2026
The draft Final Order includes an evaluation of all public comments, responses, replies and sur-replies received during the Amendment Comment Review Process, which concluded on April 24, 2026. All comments received on the Proposed Order can be accessed via a OneDrive Folder for the Amendment Comment Review Process, which contains all comments, responses, replies, and sur-replies received during the Amendment Comment Review Process.
The Council will review the draft Final Order and the Department's evaluation at the May 15, 2026, EFSC meeting.
