What constitutes a wetland habitat?

Wetlands generally include areas such as:

  • Swamps
  • Marshes
  • Bogs

What services will a Wetland Specialist provide?

Wetlands Program staff ensure the Oregon Department of Transportation complies with related state and federal laws. Wetland specialists work to ensure wetlands and water resources are accurately identified during project development and that measures are taken to avoid and minimize impacts to the environment, where possible.
