Oregon’s State Health Assessment for 2024
Oregon’s State Health Assessment is an essential, community-led process for collecting and analyzing public health data. The assessment is conducted every five years to describe the health of Oregon residents, contributing factors that affect health outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and to learn about the various assets and resources that can be mobilized to improve population health. The final assessment report is a tool for improving public health and statewide program development. With the contribution of community members from across Oregon, the Assessment leads to developing the State Health Improvement Plan, Oregon’s five-year plan for improving health of all residents.
This assessment and improvement plan provide information and strategies used by community health improvement plans throughout Oregon. Oregon also completes this assessment as a requirement for accreditation as a public health agency.
