Promoting Interoperability Attestation

Eligible professionals (EPs) who wish to participate in the Stage 3 Meaningful Use CMS incentive program for public health reporting must meet two out of the five measures and must demonstrate active engagement. Electronic data submission for newborn hearing screening is no longer available for the Stage 1 or Stage 2 Meaningful Use CMS incentive program. Eligible professionals (EPs) who wish to participate in the Stage 3 Meaningful Use CMS incentive program for public health reporting must meet two out of the five measures and must demonstrate active engagement. Eligible Hospitals (EHs) who wish to participate in the Stage 3 Meaningful Use CMS incentive program for public health reporting must meet all the objectives and measures listed at https://www.cms.gov/Regulations-and-Guidance/Legislation/EHRIncentivePrograms/Downloads/TableofContents_EH_Medicare_Stage3.pdf

 

If requirements are met and you wish to attest, please complete the following:

  1. Review the newborn hearing screening OR EHDI Newborn Hearing Screening HL7 2.6 Implementation Guide with your EHR vendor and technical staff.
  2. Visit the Public Health Meaningful Use Registration site to indicate/update your plans and timeline for MU attestation.
  3. Once you have indicated your intent, contact Oregon EHDI to assist with set up for ongoing data exchange.
