Overview

The Addictions and Mental Health Planning and Advisory Council (AMHPAC):

Reviews the Combined Mental Health and Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant application and annual implementation reports;
Advocates for Oregonians with behavioral health disorders;
Monitors, reviews and evaluates the allocation and adequacy of publicly-funded behavioral health services in Oregon; and
Performs other advisory actions as might be assigned by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Director.

Goal

To educate, advocate and advise OHA for optimal quality of life for all Oregonians through the promotion of mental and behavioral wellness.

Membership

The council integrates representatives of specific state agencies, service consumers and their family members, other advocates, and providers of services related to: Behavioral health promotion; Substance use and problem gambling prevention; Substance use, mental illness, and problem gambling treatment; and Recovery support.
