Homeowner Assistance Fund
The Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) is a federal relief program established under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Eligible homeowners can qualify for a grant of up to $50,000 to reinstate their mortgage. To find out if you are eligible and how to apply, visit the
Homeowner Assistance Fund webpage.
If you received HAF funds and need a payoff statement, order it by emailing haf.payoffs@hcs.oregon.gov.
Oregon Foreclosure Avoidance Program
Oregon's Foreclosure Avoidance Program partners with many state agencies and nonprofit organizations to provide free and low-cost resources and help to Oregonians struggling as a result of foreclosure.
Oregon Homeownership Stabilization Initiative
The Oregon Homeownership Stabilization Initiative (OHSI) is closed and no longer accepting applications. If you still need a payoff statement, order it by emailing ohsi.payoffs@hcs.oregon.gov. The Payoffs Department is not available by phone. All email inquiries are processed in the order received. Please allow 48-72 hours for response time.
If you are a homeowner who has experienced severe financial hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic, help may still be available. Talk to a housing counselor to explore all your available options.
