Homeland Security Grant Program
Homeland Security Grant Program Overview
The Homeland Security Grant Program is a primary funding mechanism for building and sustaining national preparedness capabilities and is comprised of five interconnected grant programs:  the State Homeland Security Program (SHSP), the Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI), Operation Stonegarden (OPSG), the Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) and the Citizen Corps Program (CCP).  Together, these grant programs fund a range of preparedness activities, including planning, organization, equipment purchase, training, exercises and management and administration.

Grant Application Workshops

Over the years we have seen a dramatic difference between the applicants who have participated in these workshops and those who did not.  With the changes to a fully competitive grant along with the many adjustments from DHS, we highly recommend that interested jurisdictions participate in this year’s workshops.
