Hydraulics Design Manual

Hydraulic Design Manual IconThe Hydraulics Manual provides policies, practices and guidance used by the Oregon Department of Transportation for deisng of hydraulic facilities on state highways.

Ongoing Updates

ODOT is replacing the 2014 Hydraulics Design Manual with updated guidance.

As we complete chapters we are posting them below. Some existing chapters will be carried over with the same chapter title, while others will be restructured, combined, or consolidated into a new chapter that better reflects our current approach to the work.

The new guidance takes precedence over the old. If you have questions or concerns please reach out to Delanie Cutsforth.

Stormwater Design Manual Input Solicitation

The Hydraulics Engineering Section has kicked off development of a new Stormwater Manual to replace chapters 12 and 14 in the existing Hydraulics Manual. We are soliciting input on suggested changes, additions and deletions from the current content. We will be accepting feedback through December 31st, 2025.
