About the Oregon Health Plan

The Oregon Health Plan

The Oregon Health Plan (OHP) provides health care coverage for people from all walks of life. This includes working families, children, pregnant women, single adults, seniors and more.

  • OHP includes Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Oregon's Medicaid and CHIP State Plans explain how these programs work in Oregon.
  • Oregon has two 1115 waivers for OHP. These waivers allow OHP to cover more benefits and people.
  • Oregon Administrative Rules explain requirements for OHP, based on the State Plans, waivers, state law and federal regulations.

Learn more about State Plans, waivers and rules on the OHP Policy website.

The Oregon Legislature makes decisions on bills that update state law and state funding (budget) for OHA programs, including OHP.
