As drug-resistant organisms become more complex and challenging to contain, local public health authorities (LPHAs) play a critical role in Oregon’s public health response. This page is designed to support LPHAs as they lead investigations and outbreak responses related to multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs), including Candida auris and carbapenemase-producing organisms (CPOs), in healthcare settings.
Here you’ll find tools, templates, and guidance we’ve used ourselves — now adapted for you. These materials reflect our current response practices and are meant to help you feel confident and prepared. Whether you’re coordinating with a facility, launching a response, or providing technical assistance, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
