Individuals with disabilities face many barriers and challenges in protecting their health. Many of these challenges have roots in historical and current oppression and injustice in the healthcare and public health systems in this country. Access to public health services and programs is essential for people with disabilities and without disabilities. OHA is working actively to increase accessibility of all public health activities, especially those activities related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
