 OMMP and COVID-19

The Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP) is committed to processing applications and issuing registration cards during this challenging time.  Please read the Frequently Asked Questions below regarding COVID-19 and receiving your medical marijuana card.

Public health warning: Stop using vaping products

The Oregon Health Authority is urging Oregonians to stop using all vaping products until federal and state officials have determined the cause of serious lung injuries and deaths linked to the use of both cannabis and nicotine vaping products.

Program Updates

  • The Rules Advisory Committee to discuss changes to the Cannabis testing rules in Division 7 and 64 is being postposed to a date to be determined.
  • Information Bulletin 2019-06 outlines changes to OMMP coming in 2020.
  • Effective October 15, 2019, the sale and processing of flavored cannabinoid vaping products is prohibited from registered medical marijuana dispensaries and processing sites for 180 days. See Information Bulletin 2019-05 for how the ban effects OMMP. The temporary rules may be found on the Rules and Statutes page
  • Information Bulletin 2019-04 informs patients and growers of a new requirement starting in 2020 to receive written informed consent for use of a grow site.

Reporting and Tracking Requirements

If you are required to report, you must use either the Cannabis Tracking System (CTS) - OR - the Oregon Medical Marijuana Online System (OMMOS). Visit our updated Reporting and Tracking page to read about requirements for your specific registration type. Grow sites that are required to use CTS must designate a Grow Site Administrator (GSA).
