Rogue River Watershed Council
Challenge
The Upper Rogue encompasses national forests, wilderness areas, and for much of the year, provides drinking water for residents in the Rogue Basin. Restoration and monitoring efforts focus on water quality and salmon and steelhead habitat accessibility.
Project Overview
These materials tell the collective story of hundreds of restoration projects that have been completed within the Upper and Middle Rogue Basins. These waterways connect critical habitat for salmon, steelhead, and other native fish and wildlife in southern Oregon and into northern California. As of 2025, 27 fish barriers have been removed, 46 stream miles restored, and 200 riparian miles restored.
