Most offices are open Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
DMV office hours and days of operation were standardized in 2012 to reduce costs, ending the availability of in-person services on Saturdays. However, our online services are available 24 x 7. Some DMV offices still have limited hours or are open only on certain weekdays. Please check the office Web page before heading out, and during inclement weather we recommend calling the office first.
  • License/ID requirements apply to all
Whether you're applying for the 1st time or renewing for the 10th
All applicants for driver licenses, instruction permits and ID cards (including renewals and replacements) must present proof of their full legal name and U.S. citizenship or lawful presence in the United States. It can take weeks to obtain some of the documents you may need to meet the applicable laws, so don't wait until your license, permit or ID card expires.
