Our Commitment to Health Equity
Communicable diseases affect everyone—but some groups are hit harder than others. Due to systems of oppression and discrimination including racism, poverty, stigma, and unequal access to care, certain communities face higher rates and worse outcomes.
Health equity means everyone has a fair chance to be healthy. That requires sharing resources fairly, listening to community voices, and tackling root causes like housing, education, and income.
Our program is committed to making this vision a reality.
