Chlamydia

Chlamydia is a common sexually transmitted infection caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis. Chlamydia is spread through sexual contact and can also be passed from an untreated woman to her baby during childbirth. Most people do not have symptoms and are unaware that they have the infection. If untreated, infections in women can lead to serious reproductive health problems. Chlamydia can be cured with a single antibiotic medication.
