Adult Behavior Risk Factor and Surveillance Survey (BRFSS) is the largest, continuously conducted, telephone health survey in the world. It enables the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state health departments, and other health agencies to monitor modifiable risk factors for chronic diseases and other leading causes of death. The survey is an on-going data collection program designed to measure behavioral risk factors in the adult population 18 years of age or over.

Oregon PRAMS, the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System, is a project of the Oregon Health Authority Public Health Division with support from the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). PRAMS collects data on maternal attitudes and experiences prior to, during, and immediately after pregnancy for a sample of Oregon women. The sample data are analyzed in a way that allows findings to be applied to all Oregon women who have recently had a baby.
