The Toxic-Free Cosmetics Act directs the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) to adopt Oregon Administrative Rules to implement this new program. OHA has organized a Rule Advisory Committee (RAC) consisting of industry representatives, public health and environmental advocates, and governmental organizations to help develop the rule language. RAC Meetings are open to the public, and anyone can listen in to the meeting. However, only RAC members are allowed to provide comments during the RAC meetings. Members of the public will have an opportunity to provide comments during the public comment period, which will open in mid-November. Specifics on the public comment period will be included on this website as soon as they are available. To be notified about the opening of the public comment period, please email ToxicFreeCosmetics@odhsoha.oregon.gov with “TFC Comments” in the subject line.
