Oregon's Metrology Laboratory
Overview
The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) Metrology Laboratory maintains Oregon's official standards for mass and volume. These standards are metrologically traceable to the International System of Units (the SI) through the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
The metrology laboratory maintains:
- recognition by the NIST Office of Weights and Measures Laboratory Metrology Program, and
- ISO17025 laboratory accreditation through the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP LAB CODE 200468-0).
Calibration Services include:

tolerances, OIML R111 tolerances, and NIST HB 105-1 (1990) Class F tolerances.
APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL MEASUREMENT SERVICES.
Contact our laboratory staff to discuss your calibration requirements, cost estimates, and to schedule an appointment before submitting your equipment for calibration.
NOTE: See our NVLAP scope of accreditation (NVLAP LAB CODE 200468-0) for specific measurment points and associated uncertainties. Not all measurement services are covered under our scope of accreditation.
