Purpose
The
Medicaid Advisory Committee (MAC) advises the Oregon Health Policy Board, Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS). The MAC:
- Participates in policy development, oversight and review of Oregon's Medicaid Program.
- Develops policy recommendations as requested by the Governor and Oregon Legislature.
- Makes recommendations to state agencies, committees and Oregon's State Medicaid Director.
All states must have a Medicaid Advisory Committee and Beneficiary Advisory Council. These groups use a consumer and community lens to advise on the policies, procedures, and operation of state Medicaid programs.
