We are looking for clinicians

Oregon State Hospital is looking for clinicians who are passionate about working with people with severe mental illness and helping them return to their life in the community.
Psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package, modern facilities and technologies, opportunities to teach residents and medical students, and a warm and friendly staff culture. The hospital offers a wide variety of treatment options for a dynamic and clinically challenging patient population. CME opportunities are available onsite, and colleagues include psychiatrists with board certification in forensic, geriatric and addiction psychiatry.
Additionally, we are seeking Supervising Psychiatrists to lead teams of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners.  Supervising Psychiatrists also collaborate with supervising clinicians in other disciplines to manage the work of several units together.  Management experience is not required.  If you have an interest in combining leadership and clinical care, please apply!

A letter from Dr. Saul Farris, Chief of Psychiatry

"I welcome you to consider Oregon State Hospital as the next step in your career. At Oregon State Hospital, we have time to work with our patients until they are well enough to make a successful transition back to the community. We have comprehensive on-site services, including vocational and occupational rehabilitation, supported education, music and art therapy, a full medical clinic and a dentist office. All these services mean you have the freedom to design a treatment care plan that really helps someone get well, and to me, that's what being a successful clinician is all about."
