About HB 4045

Oregon House Bill 4045 defined community violence as an intentional act of interpersonal violence committed in public by someone who is not the victim’s family member or intimate partner. The Oregon Health Authority’s Injury & Violence Prevention and Medicaid Programs are supporting development of sustainable programs to help communities break the cycle of community violence.

Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Program (HVIP) Grant Opportunity Now Open

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) is now accepting applications for grant funding to support the planning and development of Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Programs(HVIPs) outside Multnomah County. This opportunity offers two tracks to support organizations at different stages of development: Readiness and Capacity Development and Implementation Planning. Organizations interested in learning about Hospital Based Violence Intervention services and exploring opportunities to bring this approach to their communities are encouraged to apply.
