Pregnancy Immunization Toolkit

Tdap and Flu vaccines during pregnancy - The Best Shot

Welcome! The Oregon Immunization Program has created this toolkit to encourage every member of clinics' staff to become a pregnancy vaccine champion. Pregnant people are more likely to get vaccinated when it’s recommended to them by each staff person they encounter. Giving pregnant people recommended immunizations during pregnancy is the best way to  protect newborns against whooping cough and flu, diseases that can be a serious threat to young infants.

We believe that you can play an important role in ensuring healthy parents and healthy babies! This pregnancy immunization toolkit provides resources that will transform you into a vaccine champion.

What's in the Toolkit?

The toolkit includes a video addressing why prenatal vaccines are integral in protecting expectant parents and their babies, strategies to increase prenatal vaccination rates, and tips on how to encourage pregnant people to get vaccinated. Also included are printable resources such as vaccine storage and handling resource guides and a helpful resources document.
