IQIP is a collaborative approach to improving your clinic’s immunization program. Designed to be a public/private partnership, we aim to support health care personnel in identifying opportunities to improve immunization practices and rates. We use ALERT IIS data and proven immunization best practices to inform our work together.
How does it work?
Using ALERT IIS, we will gather and assess immunization rate data for your patient population.
We discuss the information with key contributors in your practice and together identify specific, best practice improvement strategies for your clinic(s).
Participation, improvement and competition is encouraged. Use your successes to motivate staff and/or other clinics in your system.
We offer ongoing support toward implementing your chosen quality improvement strategies over a 12-month Quality Improvement (QI) cycle.
Routine assessment and feedback of immunization rates is recommended by the Community Prevention Services Task Force on the basis of strong evidence for increasing vaccination rates in a wide range of contexts.
IQIP fulfills the Healthy People 2020 objective to increase the number of providers who have had vaccination coverage levels measured within the past year.
IQIP helps you meet the current CCO Incentive measure focused on childhood and adolescent immunization rate improvement
How to get started?
Improving immunization rates is one of seven priority areas in the Oregon State Health Improvement Plan. Help Oregon achieve its 2020 goal of having 80% of 2-year-olds fully vaccinated.
