OHCS administers the HUD Section 811 Project Rental Assistance (PRA) program in Oregon. This program helps people with disabilities find affordable housing with support services.
To connect people to these units, OHCS works with Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) and Oregon Health Authority (OHA). These agencies work with local service providers who help eligible individuals apply and connect to housing. OHCS refers to these approved service providers as Referral Agents.
HUD 811 PRA units are for people with:
- Serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), or
- Intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD).
