Rulemaking Information

Rulemaking Process

The purpose of a Rulemaking Hearing is to provide an opportunity for public comment on the rules proposed by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy, it is not a Board meeting; The Board does not engage in discussion on proposed rules during the Rulemaking Hearing meeting, however the public may provide oral testimony during the meeting or submit written testimony to pharmacy.rulemaking@oregon.gov during the public comment period located on the notice.

After the end of the public comment period, a hearing report is presented to the Board for their consideration at the next scheduled board meeting and includes both oral comments received as well as any written comments received.
