A United Voice for Northwest Oregon Transportation
The Northwest Area Commission on Transportation (NWACT) brings together leaders, experts, and citizens from across Columbia, Clatsop, and Tillamook counties to guide the future of our region's transportation. Our Board is designed for balanced, inclusive decision-making and reflects the broad spectrum of communities and interests that make our region unique.
Quick Facts:
- 28 Voting Members
- At least 50% are elected officials
- Local government representatives must be elected officials (with agency staff alternates)
- City representatives are selected by cities and confirmed by their county commissions

County Leadership
- 4 County Commissioners (One per county)
- 4 City Officials (One per county)
- 4 Community or Small City Officials (One per county)
Transportation Partners
- 1 ODOT Area Manager (Region 2)
Port Authorities
- 3 Port Members (One each from Clatsop, Columbia, and Tillamook counties, selected by Port caucus)
Transit Representatives
- 3 Transit District or Other Transit Provider Members (One each from Clatsop, Columbia, and Tillamook counties, selected by the relevant agencies)
Citizen Members
- 8 Citizen-At-Large Representatives
(Two per county, appointed after public recruitment. These members reflect interests such as freight, trucking, bicycling, pedestrian safety, transit, business, education, nonprofit, safety, environment, and more.)
Other Voices
- 1 Forestry Representative
- 1 State Parks Representative
