The Oregon Wildlife and Transportation Advisory Group was established pursuant to
House Bill 2978 (2025), which directs the Department of Transportation to establish a program to reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions and promote public safety in priority areas where wildlife corridors identified in the Wildlife Corridor Action Plan intersect with proposed or existing public roads. Additional legislation guiding the focus of ODOT's program and the advisory group comes from
ORS 366.161 & 162 and HB 2834 (2019).
