Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC)

Connecting People of All Ages to the Care They Need

CCBHCs provide mental health and substance use disorder services. CCBHCs serve everyone no matter their age, where they live, or their ability to pay. They can provide services in the clinic or out in the community, including homes, schools and through street outreach. CCBHCs must provide these nine services:

  • Crisis services, including mobile crisis services
  • Outpatient mental health and substance use services
  • Service planning
  • Screening, assessment, and diagnosis
  • Outpatient primary care screening and monitoring
  • Psychiatric rehabilitation services
  • Targeted case management
  • Peer-delivered services

CCBHCs partner with other local organizations to coordinate care, such as:

  • Physical health care providers
  • Schools
  • Child Welfare
  • Local intellectual and developmental disabilities departments
