Mobile Crisis Intervention Services

Community-Based Behavioral Health Crisis Intervention

Mobile Crisis Intervention Services (MCIS) is a statewide program. It provides in-person invervention for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. 

  • When you call 988, a 988 Crisis Counselor will ask a local MCIS team to respond if needed and available.
  • Community mental health programs must operate an MCIS 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
